mindset is huge in the healing process. obssesion about the condition will not help.

Alice, a retired teacher noticed a hard nodule in her left palm in 2014. the diagnosis was Dupuytren disease which eventually led to contracture in two of her fingers. This malady is considered incurable and it progresses with time. read here how she reversed this disease. in the video she portrays her healing journey and her insights about the healing process. hint: she cultivated the right mindset and within 2 years her palm went back to normal.  This beautiful lady can teach us a lot how to defy the verdict of "incurable"

Alice: I am a 68 year old female , who leads a healthy lifestyle. I would like to share my personal experience of  how I have managed to  tackle my condition ,Dupuytrens Contracture.

As far as I can recollect the change in my hand was in the late Summer /Fall of 2014. When I tried to close my fist I felt tightness. I could not close my right hand into a tight curl without the aggravation and  discomfort.  I ignored it for awhile thinking it might go away on its own. It did not. I  started to use a therapeutic stress 4 inch ball. It gave me some relief but this was only temporary. It gave me some flexibility .Once the exercise was over my fingers would tighten in.  the middle ring and baby finger would curl in and could not extend fully.

massage did not help my DC

I tried messaging the palm of my hand to see if i could ease the tightening of the tendons. If i were in construction or doing a lot of manual labour i would have thought that  had developed  a calluses. I am left handed and it is the right hand that seemed to be giving me all this discomfort.

I went to see the family doctor.  I mentioned and showed my hand to her. She didn't say much about it . When I went to the rheumatologist for an annual check up , she said that not much could be done , and if I wanted to see a specialist , they would not touch it as it was not  severe enough.  Let alone the long wait to see a specialist. There was not much that she could do as it is not in her speciality .

So, again I was left hanging wondering what I could do to get rid the bump in the middle of my palm.

I started to do some research and i came across an article on Boron. I had not heard or knew much about it . One of the benefits of taking boron was that it was great for bone joints giving flexibility, decreasing inflammation and adding comfort.  Nothing  to lose  except a few dollars compared to a prescription of medicine.

she chose the right way

I am pleased with my choice and it has been a year and a half since I started taking   it twice a day.  The results are very noticeable within 2 years  and today the bump in the middle of my palm has diminished .  Boron, for me has been true to its findings!  Why doctors have not taken a look at this is very puzzling!

My best advice to fellow sufferers of chronic conditions:

patience and consistency are crucial. not much happened for me in the first 6 months. only after 18 months of consistency with the treatmeny. i started to see the healing. have patience and stick to it.
