Sara Halevi

now I don’t allow my thoughts to dwell on pain. If something hurts, I don’t allow it to go into a place of fear and resistance,

Sara Halevi suffered of fibromyalgia after giving her 4th birth. This condition was accompanied by mild depression, fatigue, chronic pain and brain fog. She decided to be the captain of her own ship and she found a way to heal. Her relationship with pain also changed completely. what did she do to heal?

It all started at:

When my 4th child was about a year old, I woke up one morning with pain from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. Everything was hurting.  My doctor tested me for a bunch of things, then used the 18 pain points test. I had 17 positive pain points, from which she diagnosed Fibromyalgia.

Main symptoms were:

Mainly chronic pain throughout my body. I also had fatigue, brain fog and some mild depression. I immediately started researching to find things that would help.

Dark night of the soul:

The last time I had a flare, and realized I needed to get divorced. I felt my emotions were poisoning my body.

Change in the plot:

The biggest change was my diet. I stopped eating gluten, sugar and dairy. Within a few months I started feeling significantly better. One day I realized I had changed the way I react to pain, and that I was never going back to how I was before. That was 8 years ago.

My relationship to pain:

I have always had a high pain threshold. I would say that now I don’t allow my thoughts to dwell on pain. If something hurts, I don’t allow it to go into a place of fear and resistance, I just say, oh, ok, it’s like this now. It will shift.

My best advice to fellow sufferers of chronic conditions:

Commit to your self-care!
